GAZZE has annonounced a release date for the new song entitled "We Will Be Free". "We Will Be Free is an anthem for a new generation" says Dwight Weems, the song's co-writter! The song is a tribute to every freedom fighter past, present & future! Over history many, many lives have been lost in our quest for freedom and thru-out the struggle, one thought rings true.....We Will Be Free! Free to travel, free to speak, free to worship. Our wish is to inspire our next generation of freedom fighters to inderstand the importance & the risk of being free. And to understand that freedom is not a given, but something we have fought for and must continue to fight for for gemerations to come. "The band is looking to secure one or two corporate sponsors to possibly make the song available as a free download. "We have no desire to sell cd's for profit, just a desire to get our patriotic message to as many people that may want a free copy of it! "We Will Be Free" is the message we want to send to the world. No matter what the consequence, no matter what the cost......In America......"We Will Be Free"! Special to the Baltimore Sunpapers

Meanwhile, Baltimore band "Gazze" may be about to go Hollywood. You've probably seen - and danced to - this jumpin' Top 40 group in its 30 years of playing nearly every major event and party in town. Recently, the band seems to have caught on with some of the Olympic ice skaters now on the professional circuit. Lead singer Dwight Weems says the band played at skater Paul Wiley's Cape Cod wedding several months ago, after he had seen the group perform at a private party on the Eastern Shore.

Then, Dwight says, Kristi Yamaguchi approached the band about doing her recent wedding. But the logistics - and expense - of flying the group to Hawaii proved to be a bit overwhelming.

Now, it seems, “Gazze” is garnering interest from other pro skaters and "big entertainment types" to perform at their out-of-town functions. Right now, Dwight's not naming names - but we'll worm it out of him yet.
